Tesla AI Day event: start time and how to watch the live stream

Today is Tesla’s AI Day, a sequel of sorts to the company’s Autonomy Day event held in 2019. The event, which will be held at Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto, CA, will be livestreamed for the public starting at 5PM PT / 8PM ET (though the event may not actually begin until closer to 5:30PM PT).

We don’t have a lot of details about what will be announced, but based on the invitation, we’ll get a keynote address by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, hardware and software demos from Tesla engineers, test rides in the Model S Plaid, and “more.” Musk has also tweeted that the “sole goal” of the event is to lure experts in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence to come work at Tesla.

Tesla usually holds around two public events a year. This year, we got the Tesla Model S Plaid launch event in June, and now AI Day. Over the past few years, Tesla has been holding events, not to unveil new products, but to highlight certain technologies that the company views as crucial to its future development. Last year, Tesla held its first Battery Day event, at which it discussed plans to drive down the cost of battery development with the goal of producing a $25,000 electric car.

AI Day is expected to pick up on the themes first introduced during Autonomy Day, which include the manufacturing of Tesla’s own silicon computer chips to power it’s Full Self-Driving advanced driver assistance feature.

This AI Day comes at an awkward time for the company. Earlier this week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that it was investigating Tesla’s Autopilot for the nearly dozen incidents in which its cars crashed into emergency vehicles. Two Democratic senators also called on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Tesla’s marketing practices for potentially misleading information.

‘Fortnite’ Chapter 2 will end with a big in-game event on December 4th

It seems big changes are coming to  soon. Chapter 2, which started all the way back , will wrap up with a one-time-only in-game event called The End at 4PM ET on December 4th.

“With The Convergence complete, The Cube Queen prepares her endgame for the Island and nothing will ever be the same,” Epic Games . “Grab your weapons and fight the ultimate destroyer of all reality.”

The Chapter 1-closing event was also named The End and it . Fortnite was offline for a few days before Chapter 2 . Among other updates, Epic also brought in a fresh user interface and new mechanics in Chapter 2. Given that the publisher says players will battle The Cube Queen “in one last stand for the fate of the Island” and that nothing will seemingly be the same, it seems likely more major changes are coming to the battle royale in the near future.

If you have any Bars or Battle Stars, use them before the end of the season, since they won’t carry over to Chapter 3. Starting on November 30th, character services and exotic item trades will be discounted in Bargain Bin Week. Fortnite will automatically redeem unused Battle Stars for the earliest available rewards. If you have any remaining quests you want to complete, now might be the time to do that.

Squads of up to 16 players will be able to experience The End together. The event playlist will open at 3:30PM, so it’s probably worth joining early to secure a spot. Meanwhile, since Epic is ending the season a day earlier than planned, everyone who logs into Fortnite before it wraps up will receive a 225,000 XP bonus. Those who take part in the event will unlock a special Loading Screen and Wrap too.

Shiny Pokemon GO Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl event details: Starting today!

Today we’re taking a peek at the next Pokemon GO event, starting with the launch of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl! The BD and SP games are part of the “main” or “core” series of Pokemon games, and Pokemon GO stands to benefit from their release with a few new bonuses and an eventual release of a whole bunch of new monsters.

Starting on Tuesday, November 1, 2021, Pokemon GO will celebrate the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. The first part of this event will continue for a mere two days, so pay attention! This event ends on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10AM local time. At that time, the second part begins, and lasts until November 21, 2021.

Part 1: Brilliant Diamond

During the first part of this event there’ll be wild spawns of a whole bunch of Pokemon with the potential to be Shiny. There’ll be increased spawns of Stunky, which is not Shiny, but everything else has the potential to be Shiny – so tap them all!

We’ll see increased spawns of Seel, Buneary, Murkrow, Kircketot, Bidoof, Poocheyena, Aron, Scyther, Larvitar, Burmy (Plant), and Buizel. We’ll also see some Costumed Pokemon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup – each of which can be Shiny.

Part 2: Shining Pearl

This event will start on November 18, 2021, and will last until November 21, 2021, at 8PM local time. This second half of the event will feature Spheal as a wild spawn with no Shiny iteration. It’ll also feature a bunch of potentially Shiny Pokemon like Glameow, Buneary, Bidoof, Kricketot, Houdour, Misdreavus, and Pinsir.

This event will also have Slowpoke, Bagon, Buizel, and Burmy (Sandy) spawning in the wild as potentially Shiny Pokemon. As it was with the first half, these Pokemon will be ever-so-slightly more rare than the rest.

There’ll also be fancy costume Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup – this time with a different hat! The first half has Luca’s Hat and the second half has Dawn’s Hat.

Both parts

Both parts of this event will feature 7km eggs with Riolu, Happiny, Mime Jr, Bonsly, and Budew, all available globally. You’ll be able to get to these monsters easier than normal because there’ll be 1/2 Incubator Distance and 1/3 Super Incubator Distance requirements – quick!

You’ll find the in-game store enticing with a one-time bundle for 300 coins that includes two Incubators, 3x Super Incubators, and a Raid Pass, too.

This event will include a Collection Challenge for the costumed Pokemon that’ll give you 1000 XP, 3000 Stardust, and an encounter with Froslass. You’ll find full-body suits in the avatar items store during this event, if you want to go full wild style on this generation.

BlizzCon 2022 canceled as Blizzard looks to ‘reimagine’ event

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Blizzard moved its annual event, BlizzCon, online. The resulting show was dubbed BlizzConline, and it was one that Blizzard planned to host again early next year. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s not happening as planned, as Blizzard has canceled BlizzConline 2022.

In a statement published on its website today, Blizzard announced BlizzConline will no longer happen in February as originally planned. The company says that the decision to “step back and pause planning” on the event was a tough one, but that the energy which would have gone into creating the event is best spent supporting its various teams and progressing development on its games.

Blizzard then said that a lot has changed since the first BlizzCon was hosted 16 years ago and that when BlizzCon returns in the future, it wants the show to be inclusive and accommodating. “Whatever the event looks like in the future, we also need to ensure that it feels as safe, welcoming, and inclusive as possible,” Blizzard said. “We’re committed to continual communication with our players, and we see BlizzCon playing a big role in that going forward. We’re excited about what we’ll do with the event when we revisit it in the future.”

While BlizzConline may not be happening, Blizzard says that it will still announce new updates for its games. Presumably, this will happen in a more spread-out fashion once we’re into the new year, but Blizzard doesn’t say when it plans to share these updates.

Blizzard currently finds itself at the center of a sexual harassment and abuse scandal that has seen several high-level employees and executives depart the company. Blizzard alluded to that scandal in its statement today, so it’s safe to say that it influenced the decision to cancel BlizzConline. We’ll let you know when a new date for BlizzCon is announced, but considering that BlizzConline wasn’t slated to happen until February 2022, we might be waiting some time yet.

Cisco launches new AI-powered and hybrid event features for Webex

Cisco today unveiled updates across its Webex portfolio of communications products, including an integrated asynchronous camera feature, AI-powered sound, video enhancements, and a management service for hybrid in-person and virtual events. The company’s upgrades are designed to power events and meetings “at scale” while maintaining interoperability with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and other third-party meeting platforms.

Headwinds from the pandemic have driven the value of the global videoconferencing market in 2021 to an estimated $6.03 billion. Sixty percent of respondents to an Owl Labs survey reported participating in video meetings more often in 2020 than in 2019, a bigger rise than other workplace staples like email saw year-over-year. Dovetailing with this, hybrid events are expected to continue to have a presence in work life, with 79% of companies expecting to host events that include a virtual attendance option, according to Martech.

“Technology has many powers, and the greatest of all is its ability to connect people and level the playing field for so many across the globe,” Cisco security and collaboration executive VP and general manager Jeetu Patel said in a statement. “Our new Webex innovations mark a significant step forward in helping our customers unlock the potential of their hybrid workforce — enabling them to collaborate in new ways and drive [an] inclusive experience.”

AI and hybrid work

Cisco is rolling out “AI-powered audio intelligence” in Webex, leveraging an AI algorithm to optimize all participants’ voices during meetings. The setting equalizes voices regardless of how close they’re to their devices, automatically differentiating intended speech from background noise.

Another AI-powered feature, People Focus, will be available in December. It will provide “better clarity” and “optimized visuals” of in-room attendees’ facial gestures and body language, Cisco says. Additional camera-related enhancements coming in early 2022 will further improve the interface in meeting rooms, including showing conference room participants in individual boxes on-screen — regardless of which meeting platform they use.

In related news, Webex Assistant, Cisco’s virtual meeting tool, now supports French, German, Spanish, and Japanese in addition to English. In August, it gained the ability to translate closed captions from English into more than 100 languages with a paid add-on. And starting this week, developers can work with partners to design custom commands for Webex Assistant running on Cisco’s Webex devices such as desktop cameras, headsets, and conference room phones.

Vidcast, an asynchronous communication service, also joins the list of new Webex features. Currently in beta at ahead of integration with the Webex App in Spring 2022, it provides the ability to record, watch, comment, and react to meeting clips on-demand.

Meanwhile, Webex’s new Whiteboarding tool enables users to create, find, edit, and share whiteboards with anybody, not excluding people outside their organization. Users can annotate using any device — mobile, tablet, laptop — in addition to Webex devices.

Webex also now features Collaboration Insights, offering personalized details like the top ten people a user collaborates with weekly, new colleague titles, and more. Two complementary capabilities — Well-being and Cohesion — in the previously announced People Insights tab give teams a view into anonymous work time patterns, sentiment ratings, and focus time goals. Exclusively for Webex Suite customers, there’s Thrive Reset, a collection of wellness topics, and a gallery where users can upload photos. It’s based on research showing that it takes 60 to 90 seconds to course-correct from stress, Cisco says, and designed to help users “focus on breathing, reflect on what they’re grateful for, reframe problems, or simply stand up and stretch.”

“[W]hen we provide insights … to an individual, the individual owns the data, not the organization because we don’t believe that without your explicit permission, you’d want to have your boss see that,” Patel told VentureBeat in a previous interview regarding Webex’s new monitoring features. “Engagement should not be measured based on having a judgment on someone saying, ‘I’m judging that you look sad, and therefore I’m going to do certain things’ … at that point in time, in my mind, you could cross a boundary where there’s more bad that can come out of that than good … There’s a fine line between ‘This is super productive’ and ‘We can’t do this because it violates my privacy, or it’s just outright creepy.’”

Events, integrations, and devices

Following Cisco’s acquisitions of Socio Labs and Slido earlier this year, the company unveiled an expanded Webex Events product targeting enterprises hosting hybrid events. Management capabilities spanning badging and printing for ticketing, monetization, and networking are available, and customers can now host events via Webex Webinars with Slido’s polling, quizzing, and Q&A technology up to 10,000 attendees (in webinar mode) or 100,000 (in webcast mode) in size.

Today, Cisco also announced its 60-plus new partner integrations to Webex including Smartsheet, Hacker Rank, Thrive Reset, Miro, and Mural.

Against this backdrop, new Webex devices are coming to market — among them the Webex Desk Mini. The Webex Desk Mini, which comes in a range of colors, features a 15.6-inch, 1080p interactive display; a 64-degree HD camera; a full-range speaker; and a background noise removal mic array. Meanwhile, the new Webex Board Pro sports dual 4K cameras, directional audio, two active styluses, and a choice of a 55- or 75-inch display.

Webex Desk Mini will be available to order in early 2022 for $1,695. Existing Webex enterprise customers will receive the “cloud promo” price of $999. The Webex Board Pro will launch in available in November, priced at $11,995 (55 inches) and $19,995 (75 inches).

Nvidia’s GTC will draw 200K researchers for online event including metaverse session

The metaverse may be the stuff of science fiction, but it’s going to make an appearance at a pretty serious tech event: Nvidia’s annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC), an online event happening November 8-11.

GTC expected to draw more than 200,000 attendees including innovators, researchers, thought leaders, and decision-makers. More than 500 sessions focus on deep learning, data science, HPC, robotics, data center/networking, and graphics. Speakers will discuss the latest breakthroughs in healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, retail, finance, telecoms, and more.

I’m moderating a session on the vision for the metaverse, the universe of virtual worlds that are all interconnected, like in novels such as Snow Crash and Ready Player One. The panelists include Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games; Morgan McGuire, chief scientist at Roblox; Willim Cui, vice president of Tencent Games; Jinsoo Jeon, head of metaverse at SK Telecom; Rev Lebaredian, vice president of simulation technology and Omniverse engineering at Nvidia; Christina Heller, CEO of Metastage; and Patrick Cozzi, CEO of Cesium. “It’s a different twist to have a metaverse session,” said Estes. “You know that the metaverse has become top of mind with so many other companies talking about it. That’s the general spirit of a lot of the sessions at GTC, Estes said.

“GTC is is attendees can hear from innovators who are in the same general space, but they’re taking different approaches to things,” Estes said. “There are a lot of things about the metaverse that are complementary to the Omniverse.”

Other companies represented among the speakers include Amazon, Arm, AstraZeneca, Baidu, BMW, Domino’s, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Ford, Google, Kroger, Microsoft, MIT, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, OpenAI, Palo Alto Networks, Red Hat, Rolls-Royce, Salesforce, Samsung, ServiceNow, Snap, Stanford University, Volvo, and Walmart.

And Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will announce new AI technologies and products in his keynote presentation, which will be livestreamed on Nov. 9 at 9 am Central European Time/4 pm China Standard Time/12 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. It will be rebroadcast at 8 am PST for viewers in the Americas.

“It’s fair to say that you can expect to hear product and technology announcements. From Jensen, you can expect to hear about new partnerships and lots of examples of actually implementing AI on the leading edge,” Estes said. “We’ll have a number of examples of lighthouse customers and end users and our ecosystem partners.”

Online-only approach

It’s the second major GTC event of the year. Traditional, Nvidia held a big event in the spring and then a lot of smaller regional events. But with the pandemic, that has evolved into two major online events, said Greg Estes, vice president of corporate marketing and developer programs at Nvidia, in an interview with VentureBeat.

Because of the delta variant of COVID-19, Nvidia opted to do another online-only event for the fall GTC.

“As for going back to physical events, we’re hoping for the spring but it’s of course hard to say,” Estes said. “On the other hand, I can’t see us doing physical-only ever again. There will always be really solid digital components going forward. It’s just been too successful. People like it a lot. And we draw a lot more people. And also we can also get to some speakers that we couldn’t get to before.”

Nvidia will make sessions available for viewing after the event.

“We’re expecting more than 200,000 registrations, which is what we had in the spring,” Estes said. “It’s just a fantastic thing to have that much interest and that many connections. For our developer community, we take all the GTC session and we make them available in perpetuity for free. We archive these talks on Nvidia on demand.”

For social interaction, Nvidia is using a third-party app dubbed BrainDate to arrange meetings. But Estes note that due to the resurgence in COVID that the company wasn’t comfortable having a lot of in-person gatherings yet. Over time, he expects that virtual reality meetings, events, and collaborations will take off, as it can be more convenient than travel for a lot of people.

“AI technology is evolving so quickly that it makes sense to have more than one event a year,” Estes said.

Ilya Sutskever, chief scientist at OpenAI, will discuss the history of deep learning and what the future might hold. Fei-Fei Li, professor of computer science at Stanford University, will discuss ambient intelligence (smart, sensor-based solutions) to illuminate the dark spaces of healthcare and take part in a Q&A with Kimberly Powell, Nvidia’s vice president of healthcare.

Bei Yang, vice president and technology studio executive at Disney Imagineering, will discuss how the company is using advanced technologies to “imagineer” the metaverse.

Shashi Bhushan, principal AI software and systems architect at Lockheed Martin, will describe how the company is using Nvidia Omniverse, the “metaverse for engineers,” to predict and fight wildfires.

Ross Krambergar, digital solutions for production planning at BMW, will describe how BMW is utilizing Nvidia Omniverse to realize their vision for a digital twin factory of the future to increase manufacturing flexibility.

Keith Perry, chief information officer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will explain how they used data science to advance treatments for life-threatening diseases in children. Nir Zuk, chief technology officer at Palo Alto Networks, will speak about AI for cybersecurity.

Anima Anandkumar, director of machine learning research at Nvidia and professor at Caltech, will speak in a panel on measuring and mitigating bias in AI models and run a session on advances in the convergence of AI and scientific computing.

Keith Strier, vice president of worldwide AI initiatives at Nvidia, and Mark Andrijanič, minister for digital transformation of Slovenia, will participate in a fireside chat to discuss how countries need to invest in AI, including infrastructure and data scientists.

Scientists at MIT, Amazon Web Services’ Sustainable Data Initiative, and Nvidia will explain how a group of public and private sector entities is providing climate data to scientists.

An expert panel will talk about the potential of Universal Scene Description (USD) for 3D creators in all industries. The panel includes Sebastian Grassia, project lead for USD at Pixar; Mohsen Rezayat, chief solutions architect at Siemens; Shawn Dunn, senior product manager at Epic Games; Simon Haegler, senior software developer at Esri R&D Center Zurich; Hilda Espinal, chief technology officer at CannonDesign; and Michael Kass, senior distinguished engineer at Nvidia.

Axel Gern, CTO at Daimler Trucks, will explain the strategy, challenges and opportunities of developing software-defined trucks for an autonomous future.

And Nvidia’s graphics wizards will reveal the technologies they used to create a virtual Jensen for the previous spring GTC keynote.

GTC will feature a series of sessions focused on business and technical topics in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Speakers from organizations and universities, such as the Kenya AI Center of Excellence, Ethiopian Motion Design and Visual Effects Community, Python Ghana, Nairobi Women in Machine Learning & Data Science, and Chile Inria Research Center, will describe how emerging market developers are using AI to address challenges.

“We have more international speakers, and more content that shifts towards Europe in the Middle East,” Estes said. “AI is the center of gravity, but it’s not the only thing we’re doing. One of the things people are talking about is conversational AI. It touches a lot of different industries, from chatbots for call centers to healthcare, where you have doctor who may have a patient where English isn’t their first language.”

A panel dubbed Bridging the Last Mile Gap with AI Education will feature cxperts and community leaders in Africa as they explain how they are democratizing AI and solving real-world challenges.

Latin American government, industry and academia will discuss the state of the AI ecosystem in Latin America and how to empower researchers and educators with GPUs and AI.

Experts will discuss natural language processing resources to build conversational AI for medium- and low-resource languages such as those in Africa, Arabia, and India.

Nvidia’s Inception AI program educates more than 8,500 companies that have potential for disruption. And Nvidia execs will talk about the company’s AI strategy and direction, focused on developers, startups, computing platforms, enterprise customers, and corporate development. More than 70 startups will share their business models involving conversational AI, drug discovery, autonomous systems, emerging markets, and other areas.

The panel will include Greg Estes, VP of corporate marketing and developer programs; Manuvir Das, head of enterprise computing; Shanker Trivedi, SVP of worldwide enterprise business; Vishal Bhagwati, head of corporate development; Mat Torgow, head of venture capital business development; and Kari Briski, VP of software product management for AI/HPC.

This panel will include the CEOs from startups Cyclica in biotech, IBEX in pathology, and Rayshape in ultrasound, moderated by Renee Yao, head of global healthcare AI startups at Nvidia, and cover AI in healthcare trends, challenges, and technical breakthroughs.

GTC is structured as an open, all-access event available to virtually any community around the world. Sessions have been curated to inform and inspire developers, researchers, scientists, educators, professionals, and students from historically underrepresented groups.

Topics will include building better datasets and making AI more inclusive. Nvidia partners with organizations including LatinX in AI, Tech Career and W.AI in Israel, and Ewha Womans University of Korea to offer complimentary access to Nvidia Deep Learning Institute workshops for diverse communities.

“We’re doing a lot of educational programs and training with our Deep Learning Institute, and doing other initiatives with educators from historically black colleges and universities, and we’re doing things in Africa,” Estes said. “We’re doing things specifically targeting women in technology to try to bring these communities which have historically been underrepresented to train them better to avail them of the leading thinking to work with educators.”

Nvidia offers free teaching kits for educators to get children interested in AI and engineering.

“It’s important that we’re talking to the next generation coming up, helping both younger people and then mid-career professionals who want to learn new skills, ” Estes said.

One of the diversity sessions brings together academics, industry experts and the founder of W.AI to discuss how to help more women join the field of data science and AI through mentoring opportunities and supporting advanced degree enrollment.

Louis Stewart, head of strategic initiatives for Nvidia’s Developer Ecosystem, will speak with faculty and student researchers from the Africana Digital Ethnography Project on efforts to build new and unique datasets for better natural language understanding from all parts of the world.

An AI for Smart City session will talk about where AI has been deployed to solve urban challenges, ethical challenges associated with using AI in urban settings, and how it could address challenges stemming from urbanization, failing infrastructure, traffic management, population health difficulties, energy crises, and more.

The event will have regional speakers from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Israel, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and southern Asia Pacific.

“There are smart people everywhere. And that’s a really important theme,” Estes said. “There is no reason in the world why certain countries should have an advantage over others when it comes to the brainpower of people doing AI work. We’re putting energy into reaching out to those communities. Africa is the example I gave earlier, but certainly in Latin America, and all across Asia Pacific, there is good thinking and great work being done today. In Singapore, and Vietnam, and other areas like that. And for us to be able to kind of bring that together in one place is really cool.”

How to Watch Apple’s ‘Unleashed’ Event Tomorrow

Apple announced a new special media Unleashed event scheduled for Monday, October 18, at 10 a.m. PT, suggesting that new products are on the horizon before the year is over. Apple’s October event will be a virtual one, like many press events during the pandemic, and the good news is that you will be able to tune in live and watch at home.

In typical Apple fashion, the company did not reveal what viewers can expect at Unleashed. Joswiak’s tweet suggests that Apple will deliver some “speed” improvements in new products at its presentation. Rumors strongly suggest that Unleashed will bring refreshes to Apple’s Mac lineup, specifically the M1X MacBook Pro.

How to watch Unleashed

Unleashed is expected to have been filmed at Apple’s Cupertino, California headquarters, but it won’t be a live, in-person event. You’ll be able to watch at home during the presentation to watch Apple’s announcements live.

Unleashed is slated to take place on October 18 at 10 a.m. PT, which means East Coast viewers can tune in at 1 p.m. The event will be livestreamed, so you can watch it on any internet-connected device with a browser. All you’ll need to do is visit and the event will stream from the company’s home page. Alternatively, you can also visit Apple’s events portal to view the stream if it doesn’t show up on the main page.

Apple TV users can also view the presentation on the big screen on the Apple TV app.

Unleashed is expected to last for up to two hours, per Apple’s calendar invitation.

What to expect at Unleashed

2015 MacBook Pro

Unleashed follows Apple’s recent September event, which saw the introduction of new iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch models. For October, Apple is widely expected to announce new MacBook Pro models, and we can see a redesign of the company’s pro-level notebooks.

Given that the current 16-inch MacBook Pro hasn’t been updated in two years — it is still running Intel’s processor in an era where most other Apple computers have switched to the company’s in-house M1 CPU — it is ripe for an update. Early rumors suggest that we’ll see two new models — a redesigned MacBook Pro 16-inch and a new MacBook Pro 14-inch.

Unlike last year’s MacBook Pro 13-inch refresh, which ran on the M1 processor, the new MacBook Pros that Apple is expected to announce at Unleashed is believed to debut with even more powerful M1x processors. The new processor can bring better processing and graphics performance, and perhaps even longer battery life with more efficiency or larger batteries. The MacBook Pro 13-inch with an M1 processor already lasts for a whopping 20 hours on a single charge, according to Apple’s tests. Joswiak’s tweet likely referenced the performance improvements expected on the M1x processor.

In addition to larger screens, the new MacBook Pros with M1x processors is expected to usher in a redesign. Rumors suggest that the TouchBar may not be making a return this time around, and Apple may bring back old favorites to the new models, including more ports, the reintroduction of MagSafe charging, and even a slimmer profile.

More recently, there’s speculation that Apple could upgrade the displays on the new laptops to use mini LED technology, bringing the notebook’s screen in line with the recent iPad Pro, along with 120Hz refresh rates, matching what’s capable on the iPhone’s panel.

With the new M1x processor, Apple’s pro notebook lineup could now include three models, including an M1-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro, an M1x-powered MacBook Pro 14-inch, and a redesigned M1x-powered MacBook Pro 16-inch.

In addition to new pro laptops, Apple could also debut new AirPods 3 at the event, according to a recent rumor.

Netflix’s ‘League of Legends’ show is getting an immersive IRL event

The animated series Arcane will and Riot Games is marking the launch with an in-person immersive experience connected to the series. The publisher teamed up with Secret Cinema to host the Arcane experience, which will only be available in Los Angeles.

You’ll get to explore the Undercity, where you’ll delve into the origins of two LoL champions. You’ll take on missions, find secret hideouts, form alliances and evade enforcers. The ending of the story will be different depending on the choices you make, so Arcane might encourage repeat visits.

Riot is pushing into another realm of entertainment here. “For the launch of Arcane, we really wanted to find the right partner who shared our vision for bringing such a rich IP and to life in an interactive, immersive way,” Brandon Miao, cross-product experiences and partnerships lead for Riot Experience, said. “Bringing players new, authentic out-of-game experiences that tie back to the narrative of the show is a first for us, and something we are incredibly excited to share with players as we expand to entertainment.”

The Arcane experience will debut on November 21st and tickets cost $70. You’ll get your first chance at snagging a ticket through a presale that starts on October 13th at 3PM ET. You can sign up for ticket alerts . General admission starts 24 hours later.
