Fortnite Fortography contest urges players to get close to dinosaurs

Epic has revealed the next Fortnite Fortography challenge, and this time you’ll have to get up close and personal with dinosaurs. The raptors have just hatched from their eggs and, well, they don’t have the friendliest disposition. That’ll make this one of the most fun photography challenges.

The Fortnite Fortography contest is a bragging-rights challenge that seeks in-game screenshots featuring a certain theme. Epic announces the theme every couple of weeks and they usually revolve around a new skin or item added to the game. This week’s challenge is no exception.

With the latest update comes a new order: Get screenshots that involve your best moments with the nearly added raptors. This can include, for example, defeating them in a battle or simply running away in a phenomenal display of terror — or both, perhaps, if you’re lucky.

As with previous Fortography challenges, you’ll need to share the screenshots on social media using the #Fortography hashtag to bring them to Epic’s attention. The company will review the images submitted on social media and will highlight the ones it likes the most on its Fortnite blog.

Getting screenshots while actively playing the game is very difficult, of course, and there’s where playback footage comes in. You can pull up your recorded matches after the game, reposition the camera, and get the perfect screenshot after the action has taken place.

Epic’s latest Fortography challenge is all about survivalism

The latest Fortnite season is all about survival, and so it’s no surprise that Epic has made that the theme of its next Fortography challenge. Players are tasked with getting their best in-game shots showing off survival in the newly refreshed, primal battle royale island, which now includes wildlife and more.

Last week brought Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 6, which is called ‘Primal.’ The season name refers to the big change that took place following the Zero Point event, one that threw the island into a post-apocalyptic state full of broken-down rusty cars, old relics, and primitive cities.

Some major changes came with the new season, including makeshift weapons that can be crafted using mechanical parts and bone fragments, including wildlife that can be hunted for materials or befriended for protection. At this point in time, the wildlife includes wolves, boars, and chickens, plus the consumable fish remain.

With the season now underway, Epic has announced its next Fortography challenge, which tasks players with capturing in-game images pertaining to each challenge’s theme — and this one is about survival.

As with past challenges, players can share their screenshots on social media using the #Fortography hashtag to bring it to Epic’s attention. The company will review the submissions and select the ones they like best, sharing them more broadly with other Fortnite players.

Epic’s next Fortography challenge seeks your best Fortnite builds

Now that Epic has revealed its favorite Predator shots, the company is back challenging Fortnite players to send in their best builds — and in this case, it means the best structures you’ve built, not videos of you quickly ramping up. This is the latest Fortography challenge, joining the showcase of Epic’s favorite Predator-themed images.

The Fortography challenge is exactly what it sounds like: a photography challenge for Fortnite players that tasks them with capturing the best images from their gameplay. Epic is issuing challenges as part of its Fortography effort, specifying which themes or subjects the images should focus on.

In this latest challenge, Epic says it wants to see your best architecture. Using only one of the three building materials (wood, stone, and metal), players are tasked with building something impressive, capturing a screenshot, and posting it on social media with the hashtag “#Fortography.”

The company will pick the ones it finds most interesting and highlight them for others to enjoy. Are you all out of ideas? Epic suggests that you could, perhaps, attempt to recreate one of the wonders of the world out of the building materials, or maybe something equally impressive like a five-star hotel.

While you won’t win any prizes, you can expect to be included in the next showcase if Epic selects your image. If you participated in the previous Predator-themed Fortography challenge, you can head over to Epic’s website to see the winning selections.
