Newegg Black Friday deals: Best offers today

  • MSI Optix 27-Inch Quad HD Gaming Monitor — $280, was $320
  • Acer Aspire 5 Laptop — $530, was $650
  • Lenovo Legion 5 GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming Laptop — $900, was $1,300
  • LG 55-Inch 4K Smart OLED TV — $1,297, was $1,500
  • ABS Master GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming PC — $1,300, was $1,400

MSI Optix 27-Inch Quad HD Gaming Monitor — $280, was $320

Why buy:

  • Quad HD 1440p resolution is a nice upgrade over standard 1080p for gaming
  • 27-inch size is arguably the sweet spot for a desktop gaming system
  • Nvidia G-Sync and 165Hz refresh rate for a smooth, lag-free picture while gaming
  • Sleek, nearly bezel-less design

No desktop setup is complete without a good monitor (or maybe two), and if you’re a gamer, then you probably already know that MSI makes some of the best gaming displays out there. The MSI Optix G273QF is pretty much the gold standard for a “Goldilocks” gaming panel and is one of the best Black Friday monitor deals from the Newegg sale. It’s an ideal size for a desktop PC setup at 27 inches, and its Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 is a nice upgrade over standard 1080p displays. You’ll want that extra resolution when sitting close to a 27-inch panel, too, which is obviously a bit bigger than your run-of-the-mill 21- to 24-inch monitors.

But not every monitor is well-suited for gaming (in fact, most aren’t). What makes the MSI Optix G273QF a true gaming display are features like its 165Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth play at higher frame rates. This MSI monitor also features Nvidia’s G-Sync technology, another must-have for gaming that mitigates annoyances such as screen-tearing during fast-paced action sequences. It also sports a sleek slim-bezel design that complements any modern battle station, and its IPS panel delivers more color accuracy and better viewing angles than VA and TN panels.

Acer Aspire 5 Laptop — $530, was $650

Acer Aspire 5 laptop.
Mark Coppock/Digital Trends

Why buy:

  • Perfect specs for a workhorse laptop
  • 512GB SSD gives you twice the storage you’d usually get at this price point
  • Good Full HD 1080p display
  • Comfortable touchpad and keyboard

Acer has always been one of the top values in the PC market, and you’ll always see this name on roundups of the best budget laptops. The Acer Aspire 5 in particular has been one of our favorite cheap laptops for years now thanks to its solid hardware performance, nice keyboard and touchpad, and impressive 1080p display for a computer in this price bracket. It’s well-built, too, and offers very good battery life. The Aspire 5’s battery lasted from nine to 13 hours during our web browsing and video streaming tests, which beat out similar laptops.

Any workhorse laptop is all about hardware, and with a cheap PC like this, you don’t want to cut too many corners just to save a buck. The Aspire 5 has it where it counts with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor and 8GB of RAM, which are perfect for general work tasks and everyday use. One nice bonus is that you get a 512GB SSD as well, which is about twice as much storage as you’ll typically find on a budget laptop. All together, the Acer Aspire 5 is easily the best of Newegg’s ongoing Black Friday laptop deals if you’re in need of a solid — and affordable — work computer.

Lenovo Legion 5 GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming Laptop — $900, was $1,300

Lenovo Legion 5 GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming Laptop.

Why buy:

  • Core i5 CPU and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU are a great combo for running the latest games
  • 120Hz IPS display for smooth gaming at 60fps
  • 512GB SSD provides ample space for installing games
  • Fantastic specs for a sub-$1,000 gaming laptop

Everyone knows Lenovo for the suit-and-tie ThinkPad laptops, but fewer people are aware that this name also graces many of the best gaming laptops to hit the market in recent years — and that includes some killer Black Friday gaming laptop deals like the Lenovo Legion 5. Gaming machines aren’t cheap, but for less than a grand, it doesn’t get much better than this Legion 5, which pairs an Intel Core i5 processor with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti with 6GB of VRAM.

That’s a fantastic CPU/GPU combo for any sub-$1,000 laptop and is more than suitable for running the latest games at good settings (and we reckon that’ll be the case for a few years at least, so this laptop should last you awhile). On top of that, you’ve got a nice, big 512GB SSD for installing plenty of games, which is nice to see in an age where new titles and even DLC packs often weigh in at 20GB and more. If you’re a gamer with a grand to spend in search of a portable gaming PC, the Lenovo Legion 5 is the complete package.

LG 55-Inch 4K Smart OLED TV — $1,297, was $1,497

Dan Baker/Digital Trends

Why buy:

  • OLED panel delivers superior color accuracy and deeper contrast than LED and QLED TVs
  • WebOS software has all you need for streaming
  • Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync
  • Works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa smart-home ecosystems

Newegg may be the top outlet for computers and PC components, but it’s also a surprisingly good place to find some hot Black Friday TV deals. This LG C1 Black Friday deal in particular is a nice value if you’ve been thinking of adding an OLED TV to your home entertainment setup. OLED (organic light-emitting diode) panels were pioneered by LG and ditch traditional backlighting in favor of small particles that light up independently.

The result is a bright and more color-accurate picture than LED and QLED TV panels can provide, and since parts of the display can be off altogether while other parts are illuminated, OLED TVs offer unrivaled contrast. During dark scenes, for instance, night skies and the vacuum of space will look truly black, not dark gray. And since the LG C1 OLED TV runs WebOS software, you have everything needed to stream from your favorite platforms. Gamer-friendly features like Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync also make the LG C1 OLED TV a suitable candidate for a gaming station.

ABS Master GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming PC — $1,300, was $1,400

ABS Master gaming PC with RGB fans.

Why buy:

  • Stylish ATX mid-tower case with tempered-glass window
  • 11th-gen Core i5 CPU and GeForce RTX 3060 GPU will handle the latest games for years to come
  • Non-proprietary case allows for future upgrades and further customization
  • Includes free digital copies of Crysis Remastered Trilogy, Humankind, and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

As great as today’s gaming laptops can be (the above Lenovo Legion 5 being a prime example), nothing beats a proper desktop setup for getting your game on at home. This ABS Master desktop is one of the best gaming PC Black Friday deals going right now, especially when you consider that the chip shortage makes building your own computer rather difficult at the moment. Under the hood, the ABS Master gaming PC packs an 11th-gen Core i5-11400F CPU, a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, and 16GB of memory, which is all you need to run the latest AAA titles.

And while this may be a pre-built system, its non-proprietary ATX mid-tower case means you can further customize this machine as well as upgrade components, such as the GPU, in the future (which is one of the main advantages of owning a desktop PC in the first place). It also comes with pre-installed RGB LED fans so you’ve got everything you need to get gaming right out of the box, and a 512GB SSD should give you plenty of room for the games you’re playing along with some of your old favorites.

Black Friday 2019: The best tech deals at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Newegg, and more

Much hype went into the lead-up to Black Friday 2019, with some changes to retailers’ habits—more stores released early looks at their advertisements for Thanksgiving week, as well as small amounts of the best deals to chum the waters for the main event.

Well, Black Friday is here now, and though many deals are of varieties we’ve seen before (Echo Dot or Google Home Mini for dirt cheap, anyone?), some genuinely unique standout bargains exist within the piles and piles of fodder. To help you spot them, we’ve sifted through popular stores’ advertisements and websites to find the true gems, all of which are listed below.

Everything we’ve picked are items that we’ve rated highly or that enjoy tremendous popularity and are near or below the historical all-time low price. So if you see gear that you like, you can rest assured that we’ve done your research for you.

Note: These prices are the best we’ve seen based on the information available to us. However, stores often start price-matching one another and even undercutting each other, so if a deal you like is at a physical store you can’t get to easily, it’s worth checking other stores to see if they have price-matched. (Or actually do have a price-matching policy.)

The best Black Friday 2019 tech deals

Now that the Black Friday deluge has begun, we’ve taken our full list of deals (begun earlier this week and arranged by category), added new ones, and sorted them by store. That way, if you have a preferred place to shop, you can easily see what’s available to you. In each section, we’ve cherry-picked the best bargains for that retailer—so while the price meets our criteria for a very good price (near, at, or below the historical all-time low), it may not be the absolute lowest price available during Black Friday.

Keep an eye on this page, as it’ll get continual updates through Sunday!

Updated 12/01/19 7:41pm: Dell’s started its Cyber Monday doorbusters already, and one of the gaming laptops ($700 for i5-9330H & 1660 Ti) looks like the same one as the $680 Best Buy laptop deal from last week.

Our top picks

If we called out every single fantastic bargain, the list would be pretty unwieldy. Instead, I’ve summed up the outlook for a handful of popular product categories. For the full story, check out all the individual deals further down.

Apple: For all the great deals on Apple products, check out the list from Macworld, our sister site. Some standouts include B&H Photo’s $200 price drop on multiple models of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro (which ditches the hated “butterfly” keyboard). This year’s 10.2-inch iPad is also selling for $249 at multiple retailers, and you can get a HomePod for as little as $200 at Best Buy. Even the new Apple Watch Series 5 has a decent discount at Amazon.

Newegg Shuffle restocks RTX 3060, 3070 but you have to be quick

Those of you looking to get your hands on new graphics cards from NVIDIA or AMD might want to check Newegg right now, where another Shuffle drawing is happening at the moment. Newegg actually publicized this particular Shuffle rather late during the selection window, so if you want to participate in this one, you’re going to need to act fast.

We’re talking very fast, as this selection window wraps up at 1 PM PST/4 PM EST. There a few different GPUs up for grabs this time around, with a few different RTX 3060, 3060 Ti, and 3070 cards from various manufacturers on offer, along with a couple of different AMD RX 6800 models. All of the graphics cards featured in today’s Newegg Shuffle have been hard-to-find for months, which is partly what makes these Shuffle drawings particularly attractive.

As a reminder, Newegg Shuffle works a bit differently than your average restock. Prospective buyers are able to select the items they’re interested in buying during the selection window, which is what we’re currently in. Then, Newegg will randomly draw winners who will then be able to purchase the products they’ve selected. Newegg will be drawing the winners today at 2 PM PST/5 PM EST.

It’ll alert the winners of the drawing via email, and then those who were drawn will have from 3:30 PM PST/6:30 PM EST to 7 PM PST/10 PM EST to actually purchase their products. You have to purchase your items during this window, otherwise you forfeit your reservation.

So, if you want to try your luck, you’ll need to select the products you want to buy quickly. We’ll let you know when the next Newegg Shuffle happens (assuming Newegg publicizes it in time), so those of you who miss out on this one should check back with SlashGear regularly to make sure you don’t miss the next one.

Best Cheap Newegg Deals for March 2021

Digital Trends may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site.

When browsing online for laptop deals, desktop computer deals, and deals for their components and accessories, such as GPU deals and desktop monitor deals, one of the more popular sources for such offers is Newegg. There are many Newegg deals currently available, so if you’re looking for something specific, you might find a discount for that product from the retailer.

As a tech-focused online retailer, Newegg specializes in computer systems, components, gaming, software, and other types of electronics. It also sells products in other categories, such as home and tools, health and sports, and apparel and accessories, but when you’re looking for cheap Newegg deals, you’re probably looking for a tech-related product. You may find the same listings in other retailers, but Newegg organizes its website in such a way that prioritizes them, so it’s easier to discover or locate what you’re looking for.

Today’s best Newegg deals

  • — $75 with promo code, was $150
  • — $141 with promo code, was $165
  • — $210, was $240
  • — $899, was $1,099
  • — $1,150, was $1,200

Should you shop at Newegg?

If you want to go shopping for laptops or desktop computers, or if you’re building your own system and you need components and accessories, you should consider buying from Newegg. The retailer is one of the most trusted names in the sale of tech products, and cheap Newegg deals are some of the best offers that you will find online. It might not be as much of a household name as some of the more popular retailers, but Newegg is gaining ground.

Unlike other retailers that sell a wider range of products, Newegg’s focus on tech supports customers by providing detailed information on its listings. This will help you make better decisions on the products that you buy and will clarify the difference between multiple products if you’re choosing between them. Newegg also provides easy access to peer reviews, expert opinions, and tutorials on the products that they’re selling, which helps you in making your decision and gives you confidence in your purchases.

Another benefit of shopping from Newegg is the opportunity to communicate with other customers regarding specific products. In addition to all the information that the retailer provides, you can also ask specific questions from other people who have purchased the items that you’re looking at. Their responses may prove to be even more helpful than what Newegg provides, so customers are encouraged to help each other out in determining the correct purchase for specific purposes.

Newegg is a reliable retailer, with customer service that aims for competitive prices, wide product selection, and on-time fulfillment of orders. For further reliability on cheap Newegg deals, you should focus on listings that are sold and shipped by Newegg itself, as any issues that may arise from third-party listings may take more time to fix. With customer satisfaction as its priority, though, the retailer will make sure that you’re happy with all the orders that you put in through the website.

For repeat customers who register on the website, Newegg is offering a rewards program named EggPoints. The primary way of accumulating EggPoints is by taking advantage of cheap Newegg deals, with one EggPoint earned for every dollar spent after discounts and before taxes. You can also earn EggPoints from participating in promotional events and providing feedback for your purchases. For every 100 EggPoints that you earn, you get $1 to spend on another order from Newegg.

There’s no reason to hesitate on buying products from Newegg, especially since it might be too hard to pass up on some of the cheap Newegg deals that are available for the tech products that you’re looking for. With all the information and support that Newegg provides, you can buy from the retailer without any worries — just enjoy the discounts that you get on your purchases.

We strive to help our readers find the best deals on quality products and services, and we choose what we cover carefully and independently. The prices, details, and availability of the products and deals in this post may be subject to change at anytime. Be sure to check that they are still in effect before making a purchase.

Huawei devices disappear from Microsoft Store and Best Buy, but remain on Amazon, Newegg

Microsoft appears to have pulled Huawei’s Matebook X Pro from its online shelves, and Best Buy, too, has followed suit. Huawei phones and devices are still available from Amazon and Newegg as of this posting, however.

Neither the Huawei Matebook X Pro nor the Huawei Matebook 13 appear on Microsoft’s Store site, though at least the Matebook X Pro appeared previously, as the Verge noted. The only reference to Huawei on the site is via third-party apps that reference Huawei services, none of which appear to be authored by Huawei.

microsoft huawei storeMark Hachman / IDG

Searching for “Huawei” at the Microsoft Store yields this result.

Fueled by a Trump administration executive order, Huawei, a leading global smartphone maker, faces being cut off by Android OS supplier Google and other component vendors, including Intel, Microsoft and Qualcomm. So far, that’s only impacted Huawei’s supply chain. Microsoft, as a supplier to Huawei of Windows updates and other security features, has yet to comment publicly on whether it’s enforcing the ban. (Though Huawei is still banned from buying U.S. technology, it has a 90-day reprieve from the Department of Commerce to service existing users.)

Microsoft’s retail division, however, appears to be on board. Major electronics retailer Best Buy seems to be as well, as the retailer is simply selling a pair of “open box” Huawei smartwatches. Searching for a Huawei Matebook, for example, brings up a list of competing products, beginning with Apple.

Best Buy’s supply of Huawei devices.

Amazon, however, still appears to be selling both Huawei phones and PCs, including the Honor 8X, Mate SE, and Matebook X Pro and Matebook 13.

amazon huawei edited Mark Hachman / IDG

Amazon is still selling numerous Huawei devices, both phones and notebook PCs.

Many of these are listed as coming from Huawei itself, although third-party resellers are free to resell goods and services through Amazon’s marketplace, using either their own delivery systems or Amazon’s. An Amazon representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Retailer Newegg was offering several Huawei Matebook PCs and tablets at press time, as well as Huawei-branded phones

newegg huwei phones Mark Hachman / IDG

Newegg still has a healthy stock of Huawei devices.

It’s unclear whether these other retailers will follow Microsoft’s lead, or wait until the Commerce Department’s 90-day reprieve expires. It’s probably safe to say, however, that if you want to buy a Huawei device, you’d better act sooner than later.

Newegg Shuffle could be the fix to RTX 30-series, PS5 restock woes

It’s not exactly a secret that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, along with new PC gaming hardware from NVIDIA and AMD, are all difficult to come by at the moment. Every time this hardware is restocked anywhere, it’s seemingly sold out in seconds, with resellers jacking up prices to insane degrees on sites like eBay. If you’ve tried and failed to get your hands on one of these consoles or CPUs, Newegg might have a fairer way of selling these products.

The company has implemented a lottery system called Newegg Shuffle, and the latest lottery is going on now. Until 2 PM Pacific time today (just about two hours from the time of this writing), Newegg users can head over to the website, pick out any items they’re interested in buying, and then enter into a lottery that will be drawn later today at 3 PM Pacific.

Newegg will notify the winners by email, and those winners will then have from 4 PM PT to 8 PM PT today to make their purchases. If you win the lottery, the hardware you picked out during the selection window will be reserved for you, but only during the buying window – if you don’t purchase the products you picked out during the buying window later today, you forfeit the reservation on them and will have to wait for the next Newegg Shuffle.

In all, there are several items that you can reserve in this iteration of the NewEgg Shuffle – the Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3070, RTX 3080, RTX 3090, and the PlayStation 5. Those of you hunting for a PlayStation 5 should be aware that the console is only available in a bundle that includes a PS5 Digital Edition, two DualSense controllers, the PS5 HD Camera, and the PS5 Media Remote, so be prepared to spend a little more on the console if you win the lottery.

Newegg will be running these Shuffle lotteries periodically as time goes on, and while it doesn’t solve the stock issues plaguing all of these products, it does at least make the buying process fairer. If you’re planning to enter the lottery, good luck to you, and we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more restock alerts.
